The main activity of this village continues to be fishing and its derivatives, with tourism nowadays, due to the beach, the proximity of the Island of Armona-Fuzeta and the Camping that hosts hundreds of visitors in the summer.
Land of fishermen, it still conserves many of its cubic houses, topped by terraces - the roof tops - from where the curious balloon chimneys appear, characteristic of this area of the Algarve.
