Built between 1657 and 1772, it is one of the most beautiful examples of baroque art in Brazil. Tombada in 1938 and restored in 2001, the church exhibits various creations by Francisco Xavier de Brito, a Portuguese artist who influenced the work of Aleijadinho - the most famous mining artist of the time.
