Over this cascade and its lagoon are legends and stories that greatly increase the depth of the lagoon, which after being certified at about seven meters.
The Pego do Inferno Cascade is a waterfall of the Asseca stream in Santo Estêvão, near Tavira, in the Algarve.
This cascade, one of the most curious in Portugal, whose waterfall is not very high, is around three meters, gives rise to a lagoon of olive green tones. Hot and Mediterranean color that comes from the depth of its waters and the color of the terrain and vegetation where it is inserted.
