The Santa Cruz Park, popularly known as Jardim da Sereia, is a green space located in the center of the city of Coimbra, Portugal.
The work of the Quinta de Santa Cruz (now known as Jardim da Sereia) was designed and built in the time of D. João V, and was given by Frei Gaspar da Encarnação, a minister who, between 1723 and 1752, reformed the Convent of Santa Cruz , one of the most important monuments of the city. The aim was to create a park suitable for contemplation.
