Year Built: 1907
The palace was acquired by the Municipality of Viña del Mar in 1956 and since then, its premises have been the scene of various ceremonies and cultural events. As a testimony to the ownership of the Rioja family, the palace constitutes, as of May 1979, a window into the past. From that moment on, the palace became the national museum that houses one of the most complete samples of decorative arts from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

By car:
One of the options to get to Viña del Mar is through Route 68, you enter Valparaíso and follow the correct signs to get to Viña. The Viña - Valparaíso Highway is 5.5 km long and begins in Caleta Abarca.
There is also a direct route to Viña del Mar from Route 68 towards Variante Agua Santa or Route 66, to travel a beautiful path with views of the Bay of Valparaíso and the beaches of Viña del Mar.
The palace is highlighted by the linear purity of its façade and the valuable quality of its interior elements: its wooden doors, imperial staircase, columns and exquisite decoration, whose majesty makes it one of the most palatial mansions in Viña del Mar.
On May 14, 1985 the palace was declared a National Historic Landmark.
