Despite being listed as a Palace, one could speak of this building as a great house, owned by noble people of the time.
Framed in the surroundings of the Plaza de San Francisco, its symbolism can be seen on the façade, where we find, on either side of the balcony, crowns of the marquis, under which were the shields, telling the story that were destroyed by the plebs, enraged by the failure of the Andalusian movement and the marquis taken prisoner.
At present, this emblematic property, after long years of work and a slow but delicate restoration process, has become the studio of the Ayamonte painter Florencio Aguilera.
