The park is in a small valley, in its center there is a circular esplanade surrounded by beautiful tree species. The garden also has a lagoon, a beautiful forest and a cactus with a complete sample of Chilean species.
This Botanical Garden has more than 3,000 species, several of them of great value.

By Microbus:
From Viña del Mar or Valparaíso: take the Microbus Nº203 of Expresos Viña del Mar that passes through Errázuriz in Valparaíso and continues through Alvarez in Viña del Mar. Get off at Terminal El Salto. Cross the El Olivar Bridge and walk approximately 500 m to the Portería.
By car:
From Viña del Mar: take Calle Limache until the bus terminal No. 203 of Expresos Viña del Mar, in El Salto. Turn left, cross Puente El Olivar and travel approximately 500 meters to the Portería.
From Viña del Mar, Quilpué or Concón: take the Camino Troncal and turn towards the Camino El Olivar. After approximately 2,200 meters you will access the Portería.
Perhaps the most exceptional is the Toromiro, a native tree on Easter Island, where it became extinct. With its wood the "talking tables" and the "toromiros" from Easter Island were built. In this Botanical Garden it was reproduced and in 1995 taken to Easter Island, in an effort to restore it to its original territory.
