Located in Barranco dos Pisões, it is named after the name of the former owner. Pisões were the individuals to whom the weavers delivered the tissues to remove the fat and give them consistency. The name of the activity comes from the fact that they work with the 'treadmill machine'.
Still today it is possible to find in Barranco dos Pisões, a water mill, recently recovered by the Parish Council of Monchique, which, after the pumping trade, greatly contributed to the food base of the people who went there to grind the cereals.
