It is a quadrangular tower of masonry, covered with tiles, white, with horizontal stripes blue and red lantern; is 20 meters high.
The lighthouse has a fog horn. Features: three seconds of sound, seven seconds of silence and ten seconds period.
Open to the public: Yes. There is attached a museum dedicated to the five centuries of life of Portuguese lighthouses, their history and heritage value.
