This is, first of all, an architecturally bold project by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, located next to the Rotunda da Boavista. To the daring of the building is added the ambition of a dynamic and innovative programming, with space for all the music, from the great productions to the manifestations of fringe, capable of attracting varied audiences, encouraging the taste for music, dynamizing a region that goes far beyond Porto, and putting the city on the big international music scripts. This in addition to an important role in the educational field, with activities, workshops and various workshops, especially for families and children, and in the field of musical research.
There are guided tours of the building every day, which has several bars, as well as an exquisite restaurant with a contemporary decoration, where a piece of Joana Vasconcelos, magnificently located on the roof, overlooking the city stands out.
