Although there is little information available about this fortification, on the right bank of the Fontalva stream, it is believed that it was erected on the remains of a former pre-Roman fort, successively occupied by Romans and later by Muslims, which needs deepening of research.
It was classified as Property of Public Interest by Decree published on September 29, 1977.
