This property, built in 1910, belonged to Don Agustín Délano Ross until 1912. In 1947 he sold this property to Mr. Enrique Shiappacasse Moltedo.
On September 28, 1973, it was acquired by the Illustrious Municipality of Viña del Mar. Since 1986 the Francisco Fonck Archaeological and Natural History Museum has occupied these premises. The latter stands out for displaying in its garden an authentic moai brought in 1951, directly from Easter Island.
The Museum has an important collection of this insular area, constituting one of the most complete of its kind, which allows to visualize the Rapa Nui culture and civilization.

By car:
One of the options to get to Viña del Mar is through Route 68, you enter Valparaíso and follow the correct signs to get to Viña. The Viña - Valparaíso Highway is 5.5 km long and begins in Caleta Abarca.
There is also a direct route to Viña del Mar from Route 68 towards Variante Agua Santa or Route 66, to travel a beautiful path with views of the Bay of Valparaíso and the beaches of Viña del Mar.
The place houses a valuable sample of varied cultures from continental Chile and also a complete exhibition on Chilean natural history that includes numerous species of the country's fauna, an important selection of insects and reptiles.
