The square dates back to a long time and is the result of a bifurcation of the old roads that, leaving jointly of the Door of the Olive Grove of the Walls Fernandinas, went to Braga (by the present Street of Cedofeita) and Guimarães (by the present Street of Oliveiras).
The Carlos Alberto Square is located in the parish of Vitória, in the city of Porto, Portugal.
To the north of the square there are buildings classified as property of public interest by IPPAR.
