Currently, the university is one of the highest institutions in the province of Cádiz and given its open, cosmopolitan character and its Atlantic projection, it welcomes students from the five continents with important exchange agreements with Spanish-American, Russian and African universities. It is also part of the European Erasmus Program.
It has a Higher Center for Modern Languages [4] managed by FUECA [5] (Fundación Universidad Empresa of the province of Cádiz), in which they offer studies in English, French, Italian, German, Moroccan Arabic, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian , Chinese and Spanish for foreigners, as well as courses in Methodology for the Teaching of Foreign Languages as well as various specific language training courses for the staff of the university itself and which maintains programs agreed with numerous universities and national and foreign entities.

The University of Cádiz is the public university of the province of Cádiz, in the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia. It was founded in 1979. It offers 61 degrees, [2] 17,280 students [3] study (according to data from the 2007-2008 academic year) and 1,698 teachers and 680 administration and services professionals work. [2]
Among its peculiar aspects we can highlight the specialization that the university has in the disciplines of marine sciences, nautical sciences and naval engineering. All of them are taught at the Andalusian Center for Marine Studies (CASEM), located on the Puerto Real Campus.
