São João Batista do Brum Fort is located in the Recife neighborhood, in the city of the same name, in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil.
It rose north of the primeval settlement of Recife, on the isthmus of sand that bound it to Olinda.
Administered by the Brazilian Army, it is restored and open to the public, housing, since January 5, 1987, the Military Museum of Fort Brum (MMFB), which displays armament and archaeological pieces.
Inside it stands the Chapel of St. John the Baptist, in mannerist style.
