Extensive tongue of sand protected by cliffs, Praia da Rocha is known internationally and, for a long time, the business card of Portimão. Inviting to sun and sea, the extensive bay offers great conditions for water sports and boating.
Extremely cosmopolitan, the area has a great nightlife, which is accentuated significantly in summer, and much of the preference of the young.
Praia da Rocha, in Portimão, Algarve (Portugal), owes its name to the rocks that lie between the sand and the sea. Praia da Rocha is one of the most famous in the Algarve, if not the whole of the country. Every year during the summer, the beach is filled with tourists from all over the world and, despite its large length, it is rare not to get crowded.
By the beach, there are a variety of restaurants and bars that attract large numbers of tourists, both during the day and at night.
