The village of Pankow was built in 1230 as an Angerdorfstand, on its Anger the predecessor of the financial stone church; in all likelihood it was sold out of wood. In the land book of Charles IV of 1375, ef pastors were heard, parish hooves were available. The church patronage lay with the brothers Kerstian and Hans Duseke as well as with the Berlin councilor Wardenberg; Se partner of the Rat von Berlin. In 1459 it was run as a parish that acts z Sedes Spandau. The church war from 1541 to 1896 mother church of Niederschönhausen. For the year 1541 war in the church visit protocol and introduction of the Reformation in Brandenburg by Elector Joachim II, the number of 80 communicants is mentioned.
The church building consists of two different components: the public rectangular hall church made of field stone, today as the choir of the prerequisite building, and the three-aisled constitution made of brick facing west from 1858/59.
Pankow was a 1230 year old and is called as soon as possible on the village green e church made of wood. 1375 parish hooves belong to this church. This original building was given in the 15th century by a hall church made of field stone masonry. The field stones are minimal behavior so they are not laid in layers. All windows are framed with brick. With one exception, the other window in the choir wall, they were all seen in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century. The gable on the west side is more general, with three ogival paired panels and seven pinnacles.
In 1737, a timber lantern structure was calculated over the western part of the original building e roof tower made of timber, which can be seen in an old illustration from 1797. But it only survived until 1832. The lantern construction has been reversed because of its dilapidation for twenty years. In 1832 Karl Wilhelm Redtel and Karl Friedrich Schinkel's employees carried out a renovation. The various side entrances were walled up and the window was led through arched windows, as shown in Wohler's drawing from 1834. Friedrich August Stüler leads the brick church from 1857 to 1859 through the knowledge of the hall longhouse with two lateral, octagonal choir flank towers for the bells. The church concerns its current name "To the Four Evangelists".
From 1905 to 1908 the extension of the vestibule and the west side were made in two parish-length states. In 1928 and 1935 the roof and heating were repaired and modified. During World War II, the Church of True Destruction Efforts. The towers were removed up to the eaves and only restored in the specific shape in 1953. The bell chamber has been heard, but the slate helmets have been held back somewhat. In 1959 the two colored glass windows “Four Evangelists” created by Inge Pape on the east side were heard. 1971/1972 Authorized the interior decoration (and redesign of the altar table and the altar cross), the candlesticks and the Bible stand. The organ built in the 19th century and its prospectus (Stüler and Sauer) were rebuilt. On December 10, 1972, the organ (Jehmlich, Dresden) was inaugurated, which rights were built in the Brandenburg authorities and one of the Brandenburg Organ Days, but are no longer preserved there.
In September 1977 the building became a memorial. 1977 to 1979 more of the roof are renewed and the roof structure is renovated. 1980 was the 750-year jubilee of the Protestant parish Alt-Pankow rights (after a very questionable construction date of 1230). From 1982 to 1983 the interior of the church was renovated. In 1992 a new decentralized air heater was built. In 1994 the roof of the Stüler building and the vestibules were renewed. Between 1996 and 1999, roofing and masonry work was carried out in accordance with the listed buildings
Re-covering of the central part with slip-in stones for bats
Demolition of the annoying chimneys from the 1930s
Repair of the masonry of the Stülerer gable with correction of the gable slopes
Repositioning of the new gilded cross and the restored cruciferous flowers.
In 2000, the spire was re-covered and the spire chairs were renovated.
The original building is flat on the inside, the eastern section is a chancel right and is vaulted with a star vault. The extension has a flat ceiling and galleries on three sides. The pulpit and baptism in neo-Gothic forms are from 1860. Under the gallery you can see the "Coventry Cross" from 1964. Altar cross, the candlesticks and the Bible lectern were made in 1972 by Herbert Reinhold. One of the outer outer walls of the choir was built in a cast-iron tomb of the actor J. Heinrich Schmelke (1777–1837). On the east side is the glass window, the "Four Evangelists", created by Inge Pape in 1959.
