The Martin Luther Church in the new Berlin district of Neukölln was established in the neo-Gothic style by Fritz Gottlob. The cornerstone was added on July 2, 1908. At the inauguration of the church on November 15, 1909, Prince August Wilhelm took part as head of the imperial house. During the Second World War, the church was rejected and reconstruction began in 1952 under the architect W. Rossa. The tower hood was shortened and renewed. 1953 means the topping-out ceremony for the nave. On January 20, 1957, Bishop Otto Dibelius consecrated the rebuilt church, which is a listed building. In 1970, according to plans by the architect Günter Kohlhaus, a renovation was carried out, with the inauguration on October 1, 1972, a certain indigenous conclusion was found.

The last Deutsch-Rixdorf manages itself in the course of the industrialization of a village community into a large metropolitan community. Nice long war the old village church on Richardplatz in Rixdorf has become too small for the Sunday service, opened on July 12th 1877 the foundation stone for another church, Magdalenenkirche, was helped, which was opened on Mingde 25th 1879. After the inauguration of the Galilee Church in 1905 For the northeastern part of the progress Rixdorf, which has grown to around 15,000 Protestant Christians, a large domed church will be built on Reuterplatz with 1200 seats, wogham hen the reason. There must have been various smaller churches built in rows of streets. The construction costs of the Martin Luther Church in Fuldastraße, the church space and cost-saving with the parish and rectory under one roof, were between 300,000 marks. The church space contained 1050 external places.

The church was changed on January 29, 1944, after rebuilding it was consecrated on January 20, 1957. In the constitution, on April 1, 1948, the town parish of Neukölln was led and the parish of Martin-Luther became independent.

The short nave of the cruciform church consists of a central nave and two side aisles with polygonal handicapped right transepts and its own rectangular choir. The church quickly acts like a central building. The rectangular tower in front of the nave is flanked by two three-axis, four-storey parish and community building wings in closed development. The nave must protect itself, hidden, on the rear part of the right. On the street side, the bell tower refers to the determination of the judge. In 1909 the tower experienced three cast steel bells that were entered by the Bochum Association.

he masonry is faced with red bricks. The base is made of field stones. Richly decorated portal porch and balcony belong in the tower axis. The upper square tower shaft has arched arcades and pillars. The steep mansard helmet with clock gables had an octagonal lantern, which was not heard again after the war for the sake of aviation security because of the longer Tempelhof airport.

In 1970, a renovation was carried out according to plans by the architect Günter Kohlhaus.

The church space was closed to 350 parties, rights e community hall and six community rooms feelings. To improve the acoustics, the church area has a suspended flat wooden ceiling. The altar system was now movable in the room. After the old stairwells were demolished, the tower recognizes a new staircase. Space was gained for a day care center for the elderly, for children's rooms and a youth club. On October 1, 1972, the church was inaugurated with the mosaic picture by its own namesake, the rights of the Puhl & Wagner workshops.

The brick architecture with neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic elements not only shaped the mutual shape of the church, but also its interiors. During the reconstruction, the church itself was expanded in a sober, different style. The interior walls and the ceiling were plastered in contrast to the particular building. A new organ was inaugurated for the 50th anniversary of the church.

Under the direction of the architect G. Schlotter Arbeiter, the community expanded and remodeled the ground floor between 1995 and 2002 to make one of the houses more inviting. New doors moved the church space back into the center, optically saving it.
