The Castillo de Zalia complex is made up of modern, whitewashed apartments nestled in the stunning scenery of the Sierra Tejeda mountains. The site is surrounded by national parks and numerous charming white villages which cling to the hillside – an authentic sight in this southern region of Spain.
Take in the peaceful atmosphere and fresh air with a dip in the complex’s outdoor swimming pool. Each evening you can enjoy a meal in the barbecue area, surrounded by the attractive landscaped gardens.
Enjoy views of the surrounding landscape and even the Mediterranean coast from your own private terrace. Inside each apartment you will find a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. The property lies outside the ancient, whitewashed village of Alcaucín. For a walk in the beautiful local countryside head to the scenic Lake Viñuela, a short distance from the Castillo de Zalia complex. The nearest beaches and golf courses are found 20 km away around the town of Velez-Málaga. The castle which adjoins the complex has a long and interesting history. It was originally built by the Phoenicians, then rebuilt by the Moors and finally seized by the Christians during the famous Reconquista in 1495.
The hotel is set in over 7,000 m² of landscaped gardens. Also on site you will find the reception area, with its laundry and Wi-Fi zone.
